    First Coast CNA and the American Red Cross, offer you the best CNA training in Jacksonville, FL. In approximately 3 weeks complete the 120-hr accredited program and be ready to take the state exam. 

    Our accredited Nursing Assistant training program provides a combination of theory and hands-on instruction for the basic care of clients. Students get access to the Red Cross training materials, practice at our training facilities, and do clinical rotations at highly rated nursing homes and long-term care facilities.

    FCCNA Nursing Assistant Student Catalog of Information

     

    Seating is limited to 10 students.

    Program Details:

    • American Red Cross training curriculum
    • Florida Department of Education and Florida Board of Nursing approved.
    • 3-week format
      • Week 1 and 2 - 80 hours of Theory and Hands-on training and practice at our training facility taught by highly experienced and professional nurses with a small student-to-instructor ratio to provide quality training. (M-F 9 am to 5 pm)
      •  Week 3 - 40 hours of Clinical Rotations – in nursing homes and long-term care facilities. (M - F 7 am to 3 pm)
    • Help with Job Placement

    Program Fees:

    • $1100  ($275 to reserve a spot)

    The student can opt to include the Level 2 background check fee ($90), the BLS CPR fee ($55), the CNA Study Guide 2023-2024: CNA Test Prep Book, and Practice Exam Questions: [6th Edition] ($45).

    Class Length and Breakdown:

    • 3 weeks.

    Step 1

    • During the first 2 weeks, students complete 80 hours of theory and lab skills learning.

    On Day 1, Orientation day, the students receive their materials, meet the instructors, and start learning the basics concepts and skills to become nursing assistants.

    During the next two weeks, through a combination of theory and skills practice, using their workbooks, watching videos, taking quizzes, and applying the skills learned, students get the opportunity to practice and perfect their nursing assistant skills, getting them prepared to pass the exam and, most importantly, be very successful at work. 

    Every day, a new set of skills will be demonstrated and practiced. It is required that all students attend every day to be checked off on their skill set. If a student misses a day, they will have to make it up to the next available time. 

    Step 2

    • During the 3rd week, the students who have completed step 1, attend the second part of their training, the 40 hours of clinical rotations, at one of our partnered nursing homes or assisted living facilities. Monday through Friday 7 am to 3 pm

    During the next 5 days, students attend their clinical rotations through one of our partnered facilities to practice the skills learned through step 2 / hands-on practice. Clinical rotations are an essential component of the training and every day, a new set of skills will be practiced. It is required that all students attend every day to be checked off on their skill set. If a student misses a day, they will have to make it up to the next available time. 

     

    Extra Resources

    Although your registration includes the Red Cross Student Handbook, we suggest that you look into this book. The book is specifically tailored to assist students master and successfully passing the written portion of the state exam.CNA Study Guide 2023-2024: CNA Test Prep Book and Practice Exam Questions: [6th Edition]
    You can add it to your registration for $40 and pick it up the day your class starts

      • (Mon-Thur 5 pm to 10 pm)
      •  Week 5 - 40 hours of Clinical Rotations – in nursing homes and long-term care facilities. Mornings, Evenings, and Weekend Hours
    • Help with Job Placement

    Program Fees:

    • $1100    ($275 to reserve a spot)

    The student can opt to include the Level 2 background check fee ($90), the BLS CPR fee ($55), the CNA Study Guide 2022-2023: CNA Test Prep Book, and Practice Exam Questions: [5th Edition] ($35).

    Class Length and Breakdown:

    • 5 weeks.

    Step 1

    This class prepares the students to get ready to challenge the nursing assistant competency exam in Florida. The class provides the student with an opportunity to learn/review essential materials and practice all necessary patient care skills needed to pass the written and hands-on portion of the exam. 

    *We strongly suggest you purchase the CNA Study Guide 2023-2024: CNA Test Prep Book and Practice Exam Questions: [6th Edition].  You can add it to your registration for $40 and pick it up the day your class starts

     

    Class Details

    --To register for both days, you ONLY NEED to register for DAY 1

    --Course Fee: $250 CNA Class only. (Includes FCCNA Textbook)

    You can opt to include the Level 2 background check fee ($90), and or the BLS CPR fee ($55), CNA Study Guide 2023-2024-CNA Test Prep Book, and Practice Exam Questions: [6th Edition] ($40).

    Class Length:

    --Saturday and Sunday from 9 am. to 5 pm. Approx 16 hours (Time will vary contingent on the number of students in the class)

    Class Notes: This is a classroom-based course.

      • Your Originating Agency Identifier Number (ORI Number) - This number identifies the agency requesting the criminal history check and for what purpose.

      SPECIFIC REFUND POLICY:

      • This is a non-refundable fee. Once you register, we start the process to help expedite the progress of your Background Check. 

      PRICE: 

      • $55 to $90 depending on the agency requesting the Background Check and if you need to submit a picture with your application. 
      • $25 for a hard copy
